Winchester (In Progress)

Trinity are a charity client responsible for running a homeless shelter in central Winchester.

Appledown Projects are currently appointed on a Design & Build basis to convert an existing day centre to accommodate 3 residential units for the charity.​ The design brief of these individual units is to deliver innovative solutions for low-cost, low-maintenance but highly effective fixtures & fittings. As such, during the design development, Appledown Projects have tackled complex drainage issues, proposed the reuse & adaption of existing fenestration and procured self-contained kitchen pods. ​

This is in conjunction with upgrading the existing building to achieve & exceed modern acoustic, thermal and fire regulations. The site is in active use throughout the construction period which has added a layer of security and logistical complexity.​
